| Rockies – good for the planet? |
Rockies are produced from the Cheshire salt which is directly beneath our factory. It travels 5 miles to us from its extraction point, where it has been refined to the same grade and quality as the salt on your table.
There are on the market some ‘natural’ lumps of salt, some of which claim to be the purest salt available. They then go on to list all impurities in the salt, some of which, such as Chromium and Bromine, are potentially toxic! Pure, indeed.
Some claim to be harder, or last longer, than processed licks. We all know that Rockies are hard and long lasting.
Some claim to contain double the salt content of processed licks. Most Rockies are 98% salt. How that content can be doubled is beyond our mathematical ability.
Most of these ‘natural’ products are imported from all across the world, in a time when everyone is concerned about the damage such transport can cause to the environment.
Using Rockies can be good for your animals, your wallet and our planet!
