Myerscough College Research Rockies
The Rockies technical team is currently working with Myerscough College on exciting new equine supplement developments.

The College, with one of the largest equine training centres in the North West, is an ideal trial location where a large number of horses can be randomly selected to ensure reliable results for the various supplementation treatments. Horses are all such individual characters that it isn't easy to find 'unbiased' horses for the trials!

Undergraduate research has already shown that the college horses have favourite locations for their 2kg Rockies licks and the initial findings will be developed this winter in follow-up trials. We were pleased to learn that one preferred location is the standard Rockies holder!
The key Rockies project at Myerscough, however, is to evaluate ingredients in a novel mineral lick. This research is into its second year with Myerscough equine degree students.

Myerscough are hoping to present findings from the 06/07 research collaboration at leading animal science conferences in 2008. We are awaiting further news but until this time we are unable to share the findings.
